Eid Al-Adha is celebrated on the tenth day of Dhul-Hijjah (the twelfth and final month of the Islamic lunar calendar) and is considered to be one of the holiest festivals in the Islamic calendar. Eid Al-Adha is also known as the ‘Festival of Sacrifice’ and commemorates Allah’s test of the prophet Ibrahim’s devotion. Allah asks Ibrahim to sacrifice his son but replaces him with a ram instead.
