Whole Nursery May Day

The first day of the month of May is known as May Day. It is the time of year when warmer weather begins and flowers and trees start to blossom. It is when people celebrate the coming of summer with lots of different customs that are expressions of joy and hope after a long winter. Traditional English May Day celebrations include Morris dancing, crowning a May Queen and dancing around a Maypole.


Whole Nursery Deaf Awareness Week

Deaf Awareness Week is an annual event that will take place on the 4th-9th May 2021. Deafness and hearing loss can mean different things to different people. People use various words and terms to describe how they view their own deafness or hearing loss. Deaf Awareness Week is all about promoting the positive aspects of living with deafness. This event aims to raise awareness of the isolation that deaf people can occasionally experience, and promote the importance of social inclusion around the deaf community.


Whole Nursery Mental Health Week

It is important to invest in yourself, everyone needs time on their own to do something they want to do. When you take time for yourself you are able to reboot and refocus so actually you will save time and increase your productivity when you do it.


Whole Nursery Eid al-Fitr

Eid al-Fitr means “festival of breaking the fast” and marks the end of the fasting month of Ramadan. It is celebration for three days, and on the morning of the first day, Muslims gather for prayer. Eid is also infused with different traditions in different countries. Most people use the three days of Eid for visitations.


Whole Nursery Walk To School Week

A generation ago, 70% of us walked to school – now it’s less than half. Walk to School week has been running since 1995. Just 5 schools took part in the first Walk to School Week. 400,000 Children took part in Walk to School Week 2017!
